In the beginning: Bob Nocera founded the company (The Nocera Company) in 1982, following twelve years as the Senior Lending Officer and Chief Real Estate Appraiser for The Banking Center. He has his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Connecticut.
Ron Diorio joined Bob in 1986 as a Fee Appraiser. In addition, Ron has been a licensed Real Estate Broker in Connecticut since 1979. Ron has a Bachelors degree in Marketing from the University of New Haven.
Jim Dillon joined the firm in 1988 as a Fee Appraiser, following a 22-year career as a high school teacher and administrator. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Providence College, in Rhode Island. In addition, Jim has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Connecticut.
In 1997, Bob, Jim and Ron formed the partnership (The Nocera Company, LLC) which, in 2000 was changed to Nocera, Dillon & Diorio LLC. All three partners meet or exceed the requirements as Certified General Appraisers in the State of Connecticut, including staying current with the continuing education requirements of the State. All three are qualified as expert witnesses in State and Federal courts.
Going Global: Bob and Jim have retired and Ron Diorio is now in the process of taking the company global by creating The Real Estate Appraisal Business. The business will add depth of services and expand geographically through out Connecticut while building a core of founders. This core will work together to develop easily replicatable systems. We are not building an appraisal management company, we are building a team that works together to ensure a profitable future for all. As a major league pitcher, playing for The Yankees and The Phillies and as a long time coach and referee, Ron is familiar with building teams.
